Seolhwa all but embodies winter's cutting edge. Her presence is as sharp and uninviting as frost spidering across glass. She is the furthest one can get from warm or welcoming and few dare to approach her, intimidated by her frigid look. Those that do are often put off by her aloof personality and apparent disinterest. The most you would ever get from the blue dokkaebi would be a piercingly cold stare and a 「 。。。」deafening silence. Thus, most keep her at arm's length which never really bothers Seolhwa, who prefers the silence and quiet anyways.Yet, beneath the cold exterior lies an unexpected gentleness. One can catch glimpses of her feeding strays in the gardens or delighting local children with displays of martial prowess and acrobatic skill. She also has an incredibly strong sense of justice and a desire to protect those within her domain with an unwavering dedication. However, this same fierce sense of right and wrong can become her blind spot. Once Seolhwa has judged someone's actions unforgivable, her iron will and stubborn nature make her nearly impossible to sway. The blue dokkaebi also has difficulty working with others because of her solitary and unyieldingly stoic nature. But, since joining the Pale Wolves she has proven herself a staunch and dependable ally who faces her enemies with an unflinching calm.
Background
When two nameless dokkaebi twins—one red and one blue—were orphaned by the death of their mother, none were willing to bring them under their care. After all, the two were of fiendsblood, one devil and one demon. A bad omen. They were left to starve, too young to fend for themselves. That was until they were adopted by the well-respected Baksu mudang of Bukjoseon. The wise and kind shaman took them both under his wing and raised them as his own. Though some would still turn their faces away in disgust, none dared speak ill of the children of the Baksu Mudang himself. The two dokkaebi, red and blue, grew up content under the guardianship of their adoptive father. He taught them many things: music, calligraphy, the martial arts, and the cultivation of their arcane talents. He taught them to love the people and protect them. Teachings that the little blue dokkaebi took to heart, while the red one scoffed in contempt. This peace lasted until, one day, the Baksu Mudang vanished without a trace. The protection that he had woven around the twins unraveled like an old silk thread. No longer did the people of Bukjoseon welcome the dokkaebi twins, some even pointing blame on them for the loss of their beloved shaman. This sudden disappearance fractured their family and the twins were driven away from the life that they knew. The red one left to wander the greater world of Nadir, while the blue one stayed in their home province. She withdrew to the Northern Mountain known as Bukhansan, far away from the civilization that would shun her.Yet, at the foot of this mountain lay a small, humble village of less than fifty. When the beasts would come to feast on the simple folk, the blue dokkaebi would descend from the mountain peaks to drive them away. Eventually, she became regarded as the guardian spirit of Bukhansan Village, and even despite her fiendsblood, the villagers celebrated her. Every spring, they would leave her small offerings, boons of their harvest. They even gave her a new name, Seolhwa — for her grace was like the plum blossoms that fall on winter snow — beautiful, fleeting, and touched with a wistful sadness. But Fate is a fickle thing and like the Wheel, it turns ever onward. The red dokkaebi returned as a malevolent force of destruction. He swept across the land of Bukjoseon in a violent madness. Not even the Guardian Spirit of Bukhansan could protect her beloved village from her own brother's wrath. All that she held dear was once again scattered like petals in a raging storm. Now, the blue dokkaebi seeks to kill her brother. She joins the Pale Wolves in order to hunt him.

Seolhwa is able to see in non-magical darkness up to 120 ft as though her surroundings were dimly lit. However, she can only see in shades of grey.Social Outcast | Point Cost -1

SPELLS
MAGIA | AS COLD AS ICE; AS PURE AS SNOW
Drawing from the moisture in the air then freezing it rapidly, Seolhwa can create sharp ice projectiles to deal 1d10+INT cold damage to her foes on a successful VIT Spell Contest.MAGIA | FLOW OF THE RIVER'S WAKE
Seolhwa can manipulate any water she can see within a 30ft range. She can move or direct the flow of a 5ft area of water in any direction, but the water will collapse back to following the flow of gravity at the start of her next turn unless she concentrates on keeping it in place. Additionally, she can freeze, thaw, animate, color or shape the water freely. A change that lasts for up to one minute.1ST LEVEL MAGIC | MISTY STEP
Upon being attacked, Seolhwa can use her Reaction to cast this spell and instantly vanish, reappearing anywhere within 45 feet away that she can see. The triggering effect is being attacked, not taking damage; she can only cast this Spell after the triggering attack has resolved. (Self | Reaction | 45ft Range | Instant)2ND LEVEL MAGIC | THE STILLNESS OF WINTER
Seolhwa freezes a single creature or object in place if it fails a Spell Contest (INT). A frozen creature is considered Incapacitated until the start of its next Turn. (Single-Target | Instant Cast | 15ft Range)
FEATS
1ST LEVEL FEAT | QUICK OF EYE, DEFT OF HAND
Seolhwa is trained in the martial arts. Her Unarmed Attack Damage Dealt increases to 2 x SKL and her fists and kicks are considered Weapons.1ST LEVEL FEAT | EMPTY HAND, STRIKING FIST
Seolhwa attempts to disarm the enemy. The enemy must make a Feat Contest (STR or SKL) against her Feat TN (SKL). At Level 3, she receives a +1 Bonus to this Feat Contest. At Level 5, the bonus increases to 3.2ND LEVEL FEAT | DRIPPING WATER PENETRATES STONE
Seolhwa attempts to deliver a stunning or otherwise debilitating strike to a hostile creature, forcing them to make a Feat Contest (SKL). On a failure, the targeted creature suffers an AC penalty equal to half her SKL. This effect can last up to 10 Rounds, but the affected creature can use its Action to reattempt the Contest, ending the effect on a success.
At Level 5, even on a success, the targeted creature suffers a -2 penalty to AC until the effect ends.2ND LEVEL FEAT | GUARDIAN SPIRIT OF BUKHANSAN
When a creature within 10 feet of Seolhwa makes a Weapon Attack against a creature within 5 feet of her, she can immediately use her Reaction and attempt to intercept the attack. Roll a 1d6 and subtract the total from the triggering attack's Attack Roll. If the total is lower than the original targeted creature's AC, the attack misses.
This Feat can be used up to three times per day at Level 2, and up to six times per day at Level 4. At Level 3, the Intercept Die increases to a 1d8. At Level 4, the Intercept Die increases to a 1d10. At Level 5, the Intercept Die increases to a 1d12.2ND LEVEL FEAT | DANJEON (丹田) DISTRUPTION
Once per Round, on a successful Attack, Seolhwa can target her enemies lower, middle and upper danjeons, distrupting the flow of energy through their body. This forces a Feat Contest (VIT) against the targeted creature and halves their speed for 1d4 rounds on a fail. If she forces another Feat Contest (VIT) and the target fails it while their movement speed is halved in this way, they are Stunned for 1d4-1 rounds (minimum 1). At the end of each of its turns, an affected creature can reattempt the Contest, ending the Stunned condition on a success.
At Level 3, a creature that fails its initial Feat Contest (VIT) to avoid its movement Speed being reduced by 5 or more is Stunned for 1d4-1 Rounds (minimum 1).2ND LEVEL MAGIC | ILLUSIONS IN THE MIST
Gathering a mist about her, Seolhwa can create three identical mirror reflections of herself which mimic her movements. Each time a creature successfully attacks her with a Spell Attack or Weapon Attack, roll a d20 with no modifiers, and if it rolls below a specified number, the creature instead destroys an illusion. If she has three illusions left, the result of the die roll must be a 14 or more to strike her. If she has two illusions left, it must be an 11 or more to strike her. If she has one illusion left, it must be a 6 or more to strike you. (Self | Instant | Up to 10 Rounds)
WAITING LIST (TBD)
1ST LEVEL FEAT | KNOW YOURSELF AND YOUR ENEMY
Seolhwa has a keen eye in reading her targets' movements. Her AB and DD increase by one at Level 1, two at Level 3, and three at Level 5.1ST LEVEL FEAT | SWIFT FOOT, LIGHT STEP
Seolhwa has mastered the art of qinggong. Her footwork is swift and light. Her AC increases by one at Level 1, two at Level 3, and three at Level 5.2ND LEVEL FEAT | TO TURN YOUR ENEMY'S FORCE AGAINST THEM
When a hostile creature misses Seolhwa with a Melee Weapon Attack, she can use her Reaction to make one Melee Weapon Attack against the creature who triggered the Reaction.3RD LEVEL SPELL | GREATER STILLNESS OF WINTER
Seolhwa chills the air, forcing all creatures and objects which fail a Spell Contest (INT), regardless of alliance, to freeze in place, excepting herself. The Spell ends immediately if she casts a Spell on another creature or makes an Attack against another creature. Any creature only partially within the 30 foot Range of this spell is forced outside of it entirely and does not freeze. A creature frozen in her dome is considered Incapacitated for the Duration. (AOE in RANGE | Over Time | 30ft | 3 Rounds)3RD LEVEL FEAT | LEAP ONTO ROOFS AND VAULT OVER WALLS
(Prerequisite: <6 STR) Seolhwa specializes in avoiding attacks, not enduring them. So long as she is not Prone, Bound, Stunned, or Incapacitated, and her Movement Speed is more than 0, she gains a +1 bonus to AC. At Level 4, this bonus increases to +2. At Level 5, this bonus increases to +3. This Feat cannot be taken alongside Brace for Attack.
MISC. Information
Before she was given the name Seolhwa, she was known as Eum 【음】. Back then her twin brother was named Yang 【양】. Now, the malevolent red dokkaebi is known as Ling【鈴】for the bell of calamity that rings on his arrival. He is the Bringer of Calamity, a Tower-Chosen.
Just like her brother, Seolhwa wears a bell attached to a tassel around her waist. When the commonfolk of Bukhansan Village would hear the soft tinkling of the silver bell passing by, they would be reassured that their protective guardian was watching over them. Both bells were given to them by their adoptive father.
The region that Seolhwa was raised is a small province of Xisiji known as Bukjoseon【北朝鮮】however, because of its close proximity to Kiitori, it also has much cultural influences shared with the neighboring nation. It could be said that it is its own unique subculture within Xisiji, focused more on shaminism than on the academic study of the arcane that is popular in the Xisiji mainland.
The dokkaebi Twin's adoptive father, Jinseong【眞聖】, was a former scholar of the Arcane College who retired back to his home province and returned to his shamanistic roots. He was a great and well-respected mage and shaman. His disappearance is a mystery and a great loss to the people of both Bukjoseon and all of Xisiji.
Dokkaebi are descendants of fiends native to Bukjoseon. They are comprised of both devilkin and demonkin... sometimes even a mix of both. Seolhwa manifests the blood of her devilkin heritage while her older twin brother manifests the chaotic nature of demons.
